Questions
When do I need a seat?
When dqx is used for work: in a company, for clients, or for anything you are paid for. Personal projects, learning and trying dqx are free, with the limits of the free tier.
What is a seat?
One developer. The seat belongs to their account, not to a laptop: they sign in with dqx login on up to 2 devices for free, or 3 on a paid seat. There is no licence key to hand around.
What happens when we remove a seat?
The developer keeps a working dqx and drops back to the free limits at the next licence refresh. Projects, data and configuration stay on their machine.
Does dqx work offline?
Yes. dqx checks its licence offline and only refreshes it now and then, so a train or a plane does not stop your work.
Who handles VAT and invoices?
We do: you get an invoice from us, with Dutch VAT, or with VAT reverse charged when you buy as a company in another EU country with your VAT number. Payments run through Mollie, a payment provider in the Netherlands.
Where is our data?
dqx runs your projects on your own machine. The website, the licence service and the share relay are hosted in the EU.
Can we pay by invoice?
On Enterprise, yes. Pro is paid online, with the methods Mollie offers in your country.
